Halloween. Na toll… Im Fernsehen laufen wieder mittelmäßige Horror-Schinken und in Magazinen stapeln sich die Listen mit den besten Horrorfilmen, -spielen oder -büchern aller Zeiten, die man unbedingt erlebt haben muss. Halloween ist die Zeit des Jahres, in der es mir noch unbegreiflicher ist, warum so viele Menschen so viel Spaß daran haben, sich zu fürchten.
Ich habe in meinen 48 Lebensjahren noch nicht verstehen können, warum anscheinend die Mehrheit der Menschheit Spaß daran hat sich zu fürchten. Ich hatte als Kind keinen Spaß am Angstgefühl – und das ist bis heute so geblieben. Die Zahl der Geisterbahnen die ich von innen gesehen habe, kann man wirklich an einer Hand abzählen. Einen Horrorfilm anschauen? Habe ich zuletzt während meiner Bundeswehrzeit machen müssen. Es war für mich ein Horror! Ich konnte nicht hingucken und die Bilder die ich sah, gingen mir viele Tage und Nächte nicht aus dem Kopf. Mir ging es danach definitiv nicht gut. Bis heute frage ich mich, wie andere sich durch Gewaltszenen gut unterhalten fühlen können. Zombies, Mörderspinnen, Foltergeräte, Menschen mit Panik im Gesicht.. stumpft das nicht total ab? Natürlich registriere ich wie viele beliebte und erfolgreiche Horror-Filme und Horror-Videospiele es gibt. Freunde, Kunden und Mitarbeiter erzählen manchmal mit Begeisterung von Filmen oder Spielen in denen übertriebene Gewalt dargestellt und mit dem Angstgefühl „gespielt“ wird. Ich gebe zu: Ich kann die Begeisterung nicht verstehen und nicht nachvollziehen. Und ich will es auch gar nicht! Solche Darstellungen bereiten mir unangenehmen Stress. Und diesem Stress möchte ich mich niemals freiwillig aussetzen.
Und jetzt wird´s ganz „schräg“: Sogar wenn ich am Halloween-Abend im Dunkeln mit dem Hund spazieren gehe und mir Kinder und Jugendliche mit Zombie- und Horrormasken entgegen kommen, fühle ich mich unwohl. Ich habe keine „Angst“ im klassischen Sinne, aber es fühlt sich nicht gut an und ich merke, dass ich trotz meiner toleranten Erziehung für solchen „Spaß“ so überhaupt nicht zu haben bin. Ich finde es auch nicht lustig. Und ich finde kleine Kinder in Horrorkostümen auch nicht niedlich oder witzig.
„Süßes oder Saures?“ Nichts von beidem! Die Tür bleibt zu. Ihr könnt ja morgen „normal“ wiederkommen 😉
