Heute mal ein Gruß aus einer wunderbaren Stadt auf einem anderen Kontinent. Kapstadt in Südafrika…. Das war ein Reiseziel welches schon immer ganz oben auf meiner Reiseliste angesiedelt war. Nun ist es wahr geworden, wenn auch unter anderen Voraussetzungen als geplant.
Intensive Schulungstage für „Trendchecker-Traumerfüller-Kundenversteher“ habe hier erlebt! Wir haben den Afrika Korrespondent für das Handelsblatt Kapstadt, Wolfgang Drechsler, getroffen. Er sprach mit uns über die ethnischen Wurzeln und Hoffnungen der Regenbogengesellschaft. Auch ein Treffen mit Jackie Burger , der ehemaligen Chefredakteurin der ELLE South Africa wurde uns ermöglicht. Mit dieser außergewöhnlichen Frau erlebten wir eine Präsentation zum African Style (Street Style, Fashion und Beauty) und dessen Einfluss auf globale Fashion Design Trends. Aktuelle Informationen zum Friseurmarkt in Südafrika haben nicht gefehlt! Und wenn schon so viele Friseure auf einem Haufen sitzen, wurden natürlich auch unter einander viele Erfahrungen ausgetauscht. Besonders changierende Haarfarben bleiben ein Riesenthema und wurden auch immer wieder thematisiert.
Wir sind durch das In-Viertel Woodstock geschlendert und hatten eine Street Art Tour mit dem Spraykünstler Grant Juries incl. Salon Visits und den Besuch der Stevensons Contemporary Art Gallery. Unglaubliche Eindrücke! Natürlich haben wir auch Weingüter und tolle Restaurants besucht. Alles in allem waren es unbeschreibliche Tage.
Mein persönliches Highlight war aber der Aufstieg morgens um 7.00 auf den Tafelberg. Wir waren eine kleine tolle Truppe mit vier Guides. Nach 1:40 Uhr bin ich (am heißesten Tag seid 100 Jahren????) glücklich und völlig verschwitzt dort oben angelangt. Es war einfach nur WOW! Dieser Ausblick….
Wie ich der online Ausgabe des Hamburger Abendblatt entnehmen konnte, erwartet uns am Wochenende frühlingshaftes Wetter. Das ist mir zu verdanken, denn ich bringe die Sonne im Koffer mit!
