In allen Salons wird ja „meine“ Musik gespielt. Für alle Salons habe ich persönlich alle Playlisten zusammen gestellt, so dass auch die Mitarbeiter jeden Song maximal nur 1x pro Woche hören. Unsere Musik in den Salons wird oft gelobt – das wiederum freut mich natürlich sehr. In Zeiten wo an zahlreichen Orten oftmals einfallslose Mainstream-Spotify-Playlisten abgespielt werden finde ich es natürlich super, dass Kunden auffällt das dies bei uns „anders“ ist. Und daher erlaube ich mir auch im Blog immer mal wieder einen musikalischen „Tipp“ abzugeben.
Nach „Babyface“ wurde in den USA bereits eine Strasse benannt. Der R&B Sänger, Songschreiber und Produzent heißt in Wirklichkeit Kenneth Edmonds. 1999 wurde ein Teil der Interstate 65, die durch seine Heimatstadt Indianapolis führt, in Kenneth „Babyface“ Edmonds Highway umbenannt. Er schrieb und produzierte Millionenerfolge für z.B. Whitney Houston, Boys II Men, Mary J. Blidge, Mariah Carey, Jay Z, Aretha Franklin und Madonna. 2014 nahm er ein wunderbares Album zusammen mit Toni Braxton auf, welches bis heute bei mir zu Hause – und einige Songs auch weiterhin in unseren Salons – gespielt wird. In den USA gehört „Babyface“ ganz klar zu den absoluten Größen im Musikgeschäft, in Europa ist er nur wenigen R&B Liebhabern bekannt. Am 04. Dezember 2015 veröffentlichte er mit “ Return of the Tender Lover“ ein eigenes neues Album. Und dies Album höre ich seit dem Erscheinungstag rauf und runter. Leider sind auf dem Album nur 9 Lieder enthalten, aber alle 9 Songs sind unglaublich schön, melodisch und wunderbar arrangiert (Anspieltipp: „Fight for love“). Ich finde das Album wirklich ganz ganz großartig – und alle Lieder sind auch auf den aktuellen Playlisten verteilt und werden bei uns in den Salons gespielt.
Also wenn man in dieser kalten, dunklen Zeit noch ein Album sucht welches einem das Herz erwärmt, dann liegt man mit diesem Album absolut richtig. Und „Babyface“ hätte es schon lange verdient in Deutschland mehr Beachtung zu erhalten. Also fangt gleich damit an 🙂
